mk1 Bugeye Sprite Ignition Switch New Old Stock, Lucas red box
After 65 years of use, the unique ignition switch on mk1 Sprites (1958-61) gets worn out and fails. When this happened on my car, I sought a new old stock switch as a replacement. It took me a year to find one, but I’m still convinced its the best solution. Aftermarket switches fail prematurely, so why not go with another original one and keep your car safely running for another 6 decades.
When I find them, I purchase original, new “red box” Lucas switches, so now I can offer part of my collection to you. These are as quality, original pieces as I’ve found anywhere on the world parts market.
These do not include lock cylinders or keys, nor do I have the black bezel ring (marked H / S / Off). Box is not included.
